The Director of Marketing has responsibility for the development and
execution of the global marketing strategy and plan, including
communicating this vision to key constituents and the general public.
The Director of Marketing will work closely with cross-functional teams
to ensure execution of the marketing plans to support the strategic
priorities of the organization as well as coordinate the input and
efforts of any external agencies involved in the marketing strategy for
LIVESTRONG.
ROLE QUALIFICATIONS:
- 6-8 years marketing experience. Experience marketing health programs and direct services a plus
- Highly organized team player with strong project management and matrix management experience.
- Full knowledge and understanding of strategic program planning and integrated marketing strategies.
- Demonstrate an ability to inspire others and build effective teams as well as thinking strategically.
- Creative and innovative thinking with an ability to translate visionary ideas into executable strategies.
- Excellent verbal and written communicator.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for determining the global
marketing strategy and plan to support organizational strategic
priorities to accomplish the mission and vision of the organization.
- Defines and implements the organizational design and
structure for the marketing department to best support and accomplish
the mission.
- Leads the development of the current year strategic
marketing plan as well as the longer term 3-5 year strategic marketing
plan. The plan includes all service offerings and program objectives
including awareness campaigns, fundraising programs and events,
advocacy, overall engagement, demand generation, and messaging platform
for internal and external stakeholders.
- Leads the strategic development and execution of the
digital strategy to best support the vision, initiatives, and
priorities for LIVESTRONG. Oversees all electronic and digital marketing efforts of the organization.
- Leads
the organization’s global brand management efforts to ensure consistent
execution of all marketing programs in accordance with the brand
guidelines, image, and identity.
- Responsible for program of ongoing brand research on
brand awareness, audience segmentation, and the overall impact and
strength of the brand. Responsible for final interpretation of the
research data and translation to the organization.
- Develop redesigned communications strategy and protocol
with constituents across the organization to increase engagement and
support of initiatives, events, and opportunities to get involved with
LIVESTRONG. Responsible for developing audience segmentation strategy to support the communications and marketing strategy.
- Partners
with Communications team to ensure consistent communications messaging
and brand imagery through all communications vehicles and public
relations initiatives.
- Partners with external stakeholders and partners to
ensure marketing objectives and opportunities are represented and
maximized for the interests of LIVESTRONG.
- Leverage key partnerships to build community, communicate messaging, and engage constituents.
- Develops
and manages the annual marketing operating plan and budget, captures
program expenses and ROI, and ensures budget performance and
management.
- Work collaboratively, proactively, and in a professional, service-oriented manner with all colleagues.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- 6-8 years marketing experience. Experience marketing health programs and direct services a plus.
- Experience developing a comprehensive digital strategy to support overarching marketing strategy preferred.
- Knowledge of the nonprofit and philanthropic sectors with an understanding of, and a genuine passion for the LIVESTRONG mission.
- Proven excellence in interpersonal relationship skills and oral and written communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or Communications required.
- Multilingual capabilities and international experience a plus.
COMPENSATION:
Position is full-time with complete benefits package.
